Hollywood darling Victoria Justice is going off the deep end with her latest project, “Depravity.” And it is not just a simple descent into the dark and deep narrative waters, but a double somersault into a “story [that] is so sexy, dark, and twisted that it leaves you wondering how and why it could ever even happen.” Lest we think it another caper for the benevolent Justice, there’s a clear promise that this film will let us see a side of the actress not yet fully revealed.
**Things Get Suspenseful:** Two collegiate co-eds share an apartment with a killer view. That is to say, a view of their absolutely delicious next-door neighbor. But what lies behind the door of the apartment next door to theirs might be best left a mystery, except for the fact that these nosy co-eds are about to breach that door and, in a way, their neighbor’s privacy, as well.
Morrone is on fire here, with the performance talents to raise the character, who might otherwise have come off as a creepy weirdo next door, to the level of a fully realized character, one whose secrets may well make him a Sussex-side up modern-day serial killer.
**The Advantages of Filming in Paradise:** Victoria told stories from Bangkok’s bustling streets, where the crew immersed themselves in local culture and cuisine after putting in long hours on set. Who would have guessed that between rooftop bar adventures and the devouring of sticky mango rice, they were also fashioning a cult classic? There seems to be a pretty tight relationship between the level of dedication and the amount of fun the crew had and the amount of good stuff—what’s largely considered a good movie—that they came up with in the end.
**From the Movie Theatre to the Musical Stage:** While assuming the exciting role of a character actress, Justice does not abandon her first art, music. Instead, she makes the seamless transition between the two realms, revealing a third, thrilling facet of her multimillion dollar entertainer’s skill set. This past June, the independent artist released “Coloratura,” a tune carrying with it the undeniable charm of pop music and the seductive flair of … Afrobeat? Indeed. Is there anything Victoria can’t do?
**The Star-Studded Duet Fantasy:** When asked about her ideal partnership, Justice glows with enthusiasm. Her heart isn’t the only one that RY could take when it comes to their duet possibilities. With this pair, it would be hard not to take the chemistry of such a collaboration seriously. Could it be the ideal… duet?
**Hollywood’s Most Loved Understudy Reaches for the Stars:** Victoria isn’t satisfied with just films and albums. She’s taking on the part of Dylan in the reimagined “Suits.” Playing an actress living in the fictional NYC skyline, Justice gives viewers another reason to adore her. Will she be the next guilty pleasure? Who knows? But at the very least, she’s damn good at what she does.
**Bonding with LeBron for the Bronnie:** As if a new movie and album coming out weren’t enough, Victoria Justice recently had the opportunity to film a Bond-esque commercial for LeBron James’s tequila. Justice got to be in the same frame as the sports megastar, which is insane by itself. But the story she tells of how they met and became friends is astonishingly delightful—two Nickelodeon starlets coming together a decade later for an unexpected commercial.
Victoria Justice keeps on becoming an even bigger star. With the release of “Depravity” set for October 15, we are about to see her in her most dazzling—and possibly thrilling—performance yet. This seems as good a time as any to get to know this unstoppable force a little better and discover the heady, addictive nature of her latest project and of her stardom itself.
Keep watching and stay tuned, for with Victoria Justice, it’s only the start of a truly spectacular time! When “Depravity” comes out, let us know who you’re watching it with, because some films—like chocolates and secrets—are just too good to keep to yourself.
