Carlos Yulo Hits Jackpot: P14M and a Luxury 3-Bedroom Condo After Gold Medal Win!

In a truly astonishing series of events, the Philippines’ Olympic superstar, Carlos Yulo, has not just made history but also struck it rich. He is the only Filipino to secure two gold medals in the history of the Olympics. But on top of all this, Yulo hit the jackpot when he was awarded a cash prize of P14 million from the House of Representatives for his “stunning” performances in Olympic gymnastics, the floor exercise and vault finals. His total take for these performances is a staggering P22 million.

At a glittering reception for Congress, lawmakers attempted to exert even more popular appeal by tossing out additional incentives. These went over big, leading to even more national fever featuring our new hero and the people who honored him.

Carlos Yulo is on quite the winning streak, and during a recent event in his honor, the House of Representatives presented him with a medal. The only thing sweeter than that podium finish? The P3 million bonus that goes along with it, courtesy of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

Our golden boy wasn’t the only one to reap the rewards from our success at the Tokyo Olympics. There was also Nesthy Petecio, brilliant new world champion in women’s boxing, who snagged a golden opportunity (figuratively speaking) to describe a victory at the Olympics: “It felt like it was my first time to fight in the finals.” She was fresh off of a loss in the finals from the last World Championship and fought this year on a mission, with winning the finals in the Olympics as her goal. Celebrating with us alongside our other Olympic medalists, Eumir Marcial and Petecio, is the friend of our second Olympian 5 million pesos.
