Jurassic World 4: Rebirth – First Teaser Trailer Released, Coming in 2025

Dear devotees of dinosaurs and speculation about cinema, the Jurassic age is once again about to billow back into theaters, and this time it’s coming at breakneck speed! Strap yourselves in for “Jurassic City,” the seventh installment of the iconic franchise that’s looking to take a huge chunk out of popular theater history—and, this time, also out of your city!

Universal is pushing hard to get its latest Jurassic installment into theaters by July 2025. That’s a pretty quick turnaround for a dino-drama, especially considering that Jurassic World: Dominion was released just last summer. So what gives? Industry whispers suggest that the studio is looking to rein in costs and, by all accounts, they are opting for a mostly new cast in place of the familiar, moneymaking faces from the previous entries in the series. But rumor has it that some beloved past stars might be showing up, if you can believe the industry gossip.

Rumors of a new trilogy are swirling, and this time, the series is scaling back from globe-spanning adventure to a more tight-knit, city-busy storyline. Could “Jurassic City” signify a thrilling, urban jungle landscape where dinosaurs run riot among the towering structures of a bursting-at-the-seams metropolis? Could it be that our creepy-crawly friends fit into an urban adventure as well as one in a rural environment?

The director of the highly anticipated new “Star Wars” project is none other than Gareth Edwards. Edwards honed his craft in the world of visual effects, where he first made a name for himself with a little film called “Monsters.” For his first major Hollywood outing, he helmed “Godzilla,” darling of the visual effects team and a massive hit with audiences. He’s also freshly off the success of “Rogue One,” which is effectively the only “Star Wars” film since 1980 to be worth watching more than once. With dinosaurs being what fantastical beasts are to Edwards, we can only imagine what relentless mayhem and primal carnage he’s ready to unleash.

The nostalgia-laden return of the franchise to its golden age is promised by the script—the work of David Koepp, who co-wrote the ingenious original and is behind some of the most successful period Jurassic films. Koepp’s involvement is promising; it makes the film sound as though it might just have a clever blueprint. But the connection between the franchise’s past greatness and what’s brewing for the film’s future is tenuous at best.

Will “Jurassic City” be the blockbuster of 2025? Or is a smaller, hyper-focused film merely a strategic experiment meant to incite chaos in the cinema landscape and from the looks of it, “Jurassic City” has the potential to be the jurassic-sized hit of the year.

Follow our updates closely as we follow every step—claw foot or otherwise—across the Hollywood landscape in what could very well be the most anticipated revival since the chicken-laying dino of Jurassic Park first popped up in amber! We want to hear your wild theories, so keep the comments coming! This is one adventure set to unfold in 2025 that we absolutely can’t wait for!
